'Giving is Receiving'

Why I practice Shiatsu

In this technological age which is so mechanised, Shiatsu emphasizes human connection and co-operation. It is about living in harmony with nature and remembering our true essence, encompassing life style and attitude, it’s not just a therapy. Whether giving or receiving Shiatsu, it is enjoyable, relaxing and balancing. Most of all though, it assists my connection to a peaceful place in myself, which is energizing and healing for me too.

Before beginning a treatment I ground and centre myself, and aiming for an empty mind, I tune in on an energetic level with the receiver. It is always my intention to create a sacred space for the client to promote the atmosphere for self healing. Shiatsu techniques are my tools and I genuinely wish to help those who are ready and willing to make changes in their lifestyle and diet to improve their health, vitality and well being.

How do I dress?
Shiatsu is practiced fully clothed and involves some movement so wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing. Jogging bottoms rather than jeans or a skirt.

How long does Shiatsu last?
A full Shiatsu treatment lasts about 45mins to an hour. An initial consultation may take an extra 15mins.
