Val treating in seated positionWear loose fitting clothing preferably in cotton or natural fiber ie. comfortable, roomy trousers, tee shirt and cotton socks. You remain fully clothed during treatment.

Avoid eating a heavy meal or drinking alcohol before the session.

Before Shiatsu commences a confidential, personal history will be taken, including details of any medication you may be on.

Shiatsu is normally given on a padded mat at floor level, or sometimes sitting on a chair or on a massage table.

Your practitioner may offer some advice concerning posture, breathing and nutrition and even demonstrate exercises to be practiced at home.
